Udhayanidhi Stalin was born in a high profile political family. His father (MK Stalin) is the general treasurer of DMK and his grandfather (M Karunandihi) is the head of DMK and the ex-Chief Minister of Tamilnadu. He owns Red Giant movies from which he has distributed and produced many Tamil movies. The producer  and distributor recently turned into 'Actor Udhayanidhi Stalin' as he did his first movie as a hero in ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’.He is married to Kiruthiga who heads a magazine Inbox 1305. The couple has two kids.

Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012):

Oru Kal Oru kannadi is a comedy romance movie directed by Rajesh. The movie is Udhayanidhi Stailn’s first movie as a hero. He plays Saravanan who works in Satyam Cinemas. The film starts with Saravanan receiving a letter and wedding invitation from his ex-girlfriend Hanskia Motwani (Meera). He calls his friend Santhanam (Parthasarathy) who works in the same multiplex. They decide to stop the marriage and start their trip to Pondicherry. The flashback rolls out as they travel.  Saravanan falls in love with Meera . He follows her amidst being threatened by Meera’s father, who is a DCP. He finally convinces Meera to marry him. They break up due to a fight and Meera decides to marry another guy. Whether Saravanan stops her marriage or not is the climax of the movie. The humor scenes by Santhanam and Udhayanidhi Stalin were a big plus to the movie.  Songs such as ‘Kadhaal Oru Butterfly’ and ‘Venam Machan Venaa’ were huge hits. The movie was a super hit in the box office and eceived good reviews from critics.
