Siddharth is an Indian film actor.  He has worked as a playback singer and as a screenplay writer as well. He has worked in three languages – Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, with majority of them in Telugu movies. He was born in Chennai and graduated as a Bachelor of Commerce in Delhi and with an MBA in Mumbai. He became an actor in Boys after working as an assistant director. He also owns Etaki Entertainment a production house. He married Meghna in 2003 and got divorced in 2009.

Boys (2003):

Siddharth started off as an actor in the Shankar’s Boys. Boys also served as the debut for other actors including Bharath, Nakul, Thaman and Manikandan. Genelia D’Souza played the female lead.  The film turned out to be a movie for youngsters and received mixed reviews.

Aayutha Ezhuthu (2004):

Aayutha Ezhuthu is Siddharth’s second film in his career. Once again a multi-hero starred film featuring other actors such as Surya and Madhavan. It was directed by Mani Rathnam with whom Siddharth previously worked as an assistant director. Ayutha Ezhuthu symbolizes a Tamil letter with three sides.

Nootrenbadhu (2011):

After a long gap from Tamil movies, Siddharth made his comeback in Nootrenbadhu (180). Female lead roles were played by Priya Anand and Nithya Menon. The film featured Siddharth as Ajay who hires a rented house in Chennai and helps street children. Vidya (Nithya Menon) a photo journalist falls for him by seeing his good attitude.  Ajay tries to leave the city when Vidya meets with an accident. She needs to be treated in USA while Ajay accompanies her. The flashback role out that Ajay is a doctor and has cancer. He gets married to Renu (Priya Anand). Since he has cancer and would die in a few months he leaves faking his death. When his friend approaches him to join Renu he refuses.  The name of the movie implies the 180 degree change in Ajay’s life. The movie failed at the box office.

Kadhalil Sodhapuvadhu Eppadi [KSY] (2012):

KSY saw Siddarth as an actor and as a producer. The male lead was played by Siddharth (Arun) and Amala Paul (Parvathi). The movie starts with Arun and Parvathi speaking to each other and then a scene shows on which Parvathi throws a glass towards Arun eventually breaking-up. Then Arun reveals how they fell in a relationship, as his life moves on. After several events Arun and Parvathi meet in the same canteen and a silly quarrel happens once again. Then they reunite.  The film carried away the audience in a lively manner with humor. KSY was a super hit in the box office.

He made his Hindi debut in Aamir Khan’s starrer ‘Rang De Basanti’. He also won the Best Debut Actor Male from Starscreen awards.

Striker (2010):

Striker was released in 2010. The film was also the first Indian movie to be released the same day in YouTube. It crossed 8 lakh views on Youtube. The music of Striker was performed by different artists such as Vishal Bharadwaj, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Blaaze, Shailendra Barve, Swanand Kirkire and Amit Trivedi.
