Tamilnadu Govt SETC buses Online Ticket Booking: Procedure to Reserve Online e- tickets for TN buses.

Tamilnadu Government introduced comfortable passenger friendly luxury buses. They introduced buses with cushion seats , push back options and finally introduced fully Air- Conditioned ones.. Now the Tamil Government State Express Transport Corporation SETC  has introduced a new facility by which you can book online tickets for Tamilnadu Govt buses. This new Online Ticket Booking facility for SETC buses has been introduced by present Tamilnadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha.

For what type of buses can you book online? The answer is given below.

Types of buses for which you can buy SETC online Tickets:

• Semi Deluxe                       
• Super Deluxe 
• Video Coach                          
• Ultra Deluxe 
• Air Suspension                  
• Air Conditioned   (AC Buses)
• Ordinary 

For these buses you can book tickets online.

Rules for booking Online tickets:

• The reservation must be done before 30 days of journey(departure).
• Half ticket is applicable for children who are above 3years and below 12 years. If the passenger is above 130 cms then he/she must get a full ticket.

How to book  Online tickets for Tamilnadu SETC buses :

1. Log onto www.tnstc.in , if you want book tickets from your Mobile(Mobile Booking) then use – m.tnstc.in
2.  Register for a free account. You must be atleast 18 years old.
3. Then Sign- in and Click on E-Ticket Booking.
4. Choose the starting place (originating place) and the place of departure.
5. Now select the number of seats , number of passengers, ticket type  and desired bus type(class). Sometimes there might be no service at that particular time .
6. You can confirm your identity by choosing to produce any of the following documents such as Passport, Driving License, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Ration Card etc(Photo Identity)
7. Selecting your payment: You can choose any of the following payment options: VISA, Master card, other credit cards etc.
8. Get a copy of your e-ticket which will contain the PNR number  by Viewing Booking history or by logging on to your email account to which you have subscribed.
9. On your day of journey you must produce your photo identity card  to the Driver or Conductor.

Time mentioned below  is applicable before the schedule time of the departure.

• Tickets surrendered before 48 hours will get 10 % deduction of fare
• Tickets surrendered between 24 Hrs and 48 Hrs will get 20 % deduction of fare
• Tickets surrendered between 30 minutes and 24 Hrs will get 25 % deduction of fare
• Tickets surrendered between 30 minutes before and after the schedule time will get 50 % deduction of fare

 If you dont have net connection to book online tickets, then you can also book your tickets at the Government reservation centers which are now available at 50 places across Tamilnadu.
