She made her debut with Raghuvinte Swantham Raziya (2011) , a Malayalam movie and her first Tamil movie was Sundarapandian. Following her success in Sundrapandian she acted in Kumki which was also a commercial success.

Tamil Actress Lakshmi Menon is a Bharathanatiyam dancer and she was selected for her first movie by the director after watching her Bharathanatiyam telecast. She went on to act in her second movie Ideal couple a Malayalam film. She made her Tamil debut with Sasikumar's Sundarapandian and later featured in Prabhu Solomon's Kumki where he paired with Actor Vikram Prabhu. She is currently in class 10. With Tamil Movies bringing her to limelight she was often referred as Kumki Kakshmi Menon and Sundarapandian Lakshmi Menon.
