season. Pongal is no exception for Tamil movies and a list of movies are waiting
to cheer up the movie fans. While one of the biggest disappointments is the
postponement of Vishwaroopam’s release (Read: Vishwaroopam's release postponed), there are still a bunch of movies to
entertain you. Below are Tamil movies releasing for Pongal.
Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasiaya (KLTA) is one of the most
expected comedy flicks from the audience. KLTA stars Santhanam, Powerstar DrSrinivasan, Sethu and Vishaka Singh in the lead roles. The movie will be the
first production venture by Santhanam along with Rama Narayanan. S Thaman has
composed music for the movie. The movie
is set to be released by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies. (Listen to KLTA songs) .
Alex Pandian (2013) is directed by Suraj and stars Karthi, Anushka
, Nikatha and Sanusha in the lead roles.
Santhanam plays the role of the comedian. Devi Sri Prasad has scored the music for
the film.

3.Samar:
Vishal’s Samar which was scheduled to be released on Dec 28
is now to be released on January 13th 2013. Samar is directed by Thiru
and stars Trisha, Vishal and Sunaina in the lead roles. Jayaprakash and Sampath
play the supporting roles. Music for Samar is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

4.Puthagam:
Puthagam is Vijay Adhiraj’s directorial
debut. Puthagam stars Sathya and Rakul Preet in the lead roles. Vignesh and
Sanjay Bharathy play the supporting roles. Music is scored by James Vasanthan.
