Gouravam (2012) is a bi-lingual Tamil and Telugu movie directed by Radha Mohan. The movie is named after Sivaji Ganesan’s 1973 Gouravam. Allu Sirish will be making his debut, while Yami gautam will be the heroine. Initial reports however claimed that Naga Chaitanya will be the hero.  SS Thaman will be the music director while PrakashRaj’s Duet movies will produce Gouravam.

Mugamoodi is Tamil movie directed by Mysskin. Mugamoodi stars Jiiva as the hero. Pooja Hedge who was the Miss Universe India 2010 will be making her Kollywood debut as heroine in this movie. Narine is expected to play another important role in the movie. Music is by Krishnakumar who worked with Myskkin in Yudham Sei. Actor Jiiva is expected to play a super hero in the film while Narine is expected to play the villain. Mugamoodi will be released by UTV Pictures and is expected to release on August 31st 2012. The first look poster and trailer of Mugamoodi have been unveiled today.

Maatraan vs Thuppaki Twitter battle kicks off

As Surya's Maatraan and Vijay's Thuppaki are headed to release in the same day (August 15) the battle in microblogging site twitter kicks off with some punch as a user apparently a Suriya fan tweeted mentioning to A.R.Murugadoss twitter’s account saying: “Maatraan going to rule this year.. Others just stay away from it… SURIYA=CLASS=MASS”. Murugadoss hit back replying “Paappa Thalli Poi Vilaiyadu”. Murugadoss’s tweet was a massive hit and was retweeted in hundreds. Thuppaki in trouble

Vijay’s Thuppakki seems to have been in trouble as the move makers have been subjected to refrain from using the title ‘Thuppakki’. The order was passed by the Chennai City Civil court. The petitioner who is the producer of an upcoming movie title ‘Kalla Thuppakki’ says that the tile ‘Kalla Thuppakki’ was registered in 2009 and had started a movie under the title.

Thuppakki (Pistol) is Tamil actor Vijay’s upcoming movie. The film stars Vijay in the lead role. Kajal Agarwal will be the heroine of the film. Thuppakki is directed by A.R.Murugadoss and produced by Kalaipuli. S. Thanu.  Music will be composed by Harris Jayaraj his second movie with Vijay and third one with A.R.Murugadoss. Sathyan, Vidyut Jamwal and Jayaram are expected to play the supporting roles. Santhosh Sivan will be the cinematographer of the movie. The movie is distributed by Gemini which distributed Nanban. Thupakki is expected to release on August 15^th 2012. The film has also been expected to start in Hindi with Akshay Kumar in the lead role, with Murugadoss directing it.

Latest news on Ajith’s Billa 2 is that the movie will be released on July 13th 2012. The movie is a sequel to Billa directed by Vishnuvardhan, which a huge hit.

The movie is expected to be titled 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiyaa’. The name 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiyaa’ emerged from a commercial. Other details of the movie have not yet been revealed.
